Watch the film together on the film page (about 4½ minutes).
Hand out the printed worksheet, or work through it on the board.
Use activities 1–4 straight after watching; save the word search and "Think beyond" task for early finishers or homework.
Finish with a class discussion of the "Think beyond Thailand" challenge — this is where the learning transfers.
The bigger point: Thailand is the subject, but the skill is learning to understand any place and culture — looking closely, asking questions, and noticing whose story gets told.
- Geography (KS2): understanding a place beyond first impressions; how places are represented.
- History (KS2): how we tell fact from story about the past, and how the same events can be remembered in very different ways. (The film also touches the Second World War, a common KS2 post-1066 topic.)
- Spoken language (Y1–6): articulating and justifying answers; considering different viewpoints.
- Reading comprehension (Y3–6): distinguishing statements of fact from opinion.
- PSHE / cultural understanding: respect for other cultures and for difficult histories.
